OA MAIG has been hearing reports that Zoom bombers have been targeting our meetings. Zoom has sent notifications that our site has been put on target websites inviting new friends to join our meeting. Intergroup would like to encourage individual meetings to take actions to appropriately safeguard their groups.
If your group hasn't received the host key, please contact your Intergroup rep for the key. It is highly encouraged to have a service position of "Zoom host" ready to remove and safeguard their meetings.
I have included some suggestions that were created by the OA Virtual Intergroup to help.
In addition to those suggestions, if your group is being Zoom nuked, you may want to do the following:
Pulling your zoom password off the web.
Creating a meeting email address where new members could email you to request your password.
Change our Zoom password / login information.
We hope these troublemakers will move on from our group soon. If you have any questions, please reach out to an IG representative.
Please allow 7-14 days for changes to be completed.
Thank you!
